•    Drawing Techniques --Students will learn how to draw with a variety of black and white mediums including pencils of varying softness, charcoal, and pen and ink.  Students will learn how to create value,  texture, and perspective to create realism within their work.  

•    Watercolor Techniques—Students will learn the nature of watercolor, how to work with the paints, and how to clean and maintain their brushes.  They will learn brushwork techniques along with how to create washes, textures, blending, wet into wet, and drybrushing.  Textures include things such as resist, salt, alcohol, lifting and plastic wrap.
