Art classes are taught by Lori Ruml who holds a Masters degree in Art Education and is certified in the state of Texas, grades K-12.  She has taught Middle School Art, homeschool classes and workshops, private and small group lessons, and community education courses.  She spent 8 weeks working on her Masters in Europe, studied with watercolorist Rob Erdle, and has had the honor of studying with master Renaissance painter, Frank Covino.




Minimum 4 students for class to be held.  Max 8 students per class.

•    Drawing Techniques --shading, perspective, values, creating textures, pencil, pen and ink
•    Watercolor Techniques—washes, textures, resist, drybrush, how to use and blend watercolors


•    Drawing in Color  --pastels, colored pencils, shading, blending, oil pastels, watercolor pencils
•    Fiber Arts –Batik: wax resist fabric dying   Weaving:  loom, stick or basket


•    Self-Portraits –learn to draw realistic faces and create a self-portrait in graphite or in color
•    Painting with Acrylics—acrylic techniques, shading, blending


•    Math Meets Art—learn how to use protractors, compasses, and rulers to create geometric designs
